US retailer, The Container Store, has launched a mobile messaging campaign to reach college students and their parents during the back-to-school season. The campaign, powered by Vibes, uses SMS, MMS and in-app Push messages to reach the target audience of student returning to college. It also employs a mobile wallet promotion, offering shoppers up to 25 per cent off their orders.
Success from their 2021 and 2022 College campaigns was a major driver in their decision to continue to prioritize mobile marketing during back-to-school season. In 2022, The Container Store enrolled more than 121k subscribers, 61 per cent higher than its 2021 college subscriber list. And in 2022, its mobile-attributed revenue was 3x greater than 2021. Finally, more than half of the subscribers it acquired for its college 2022 campaign are still subscribed to its main SMS marketing list, where The Container Store continues to interact with them via promotional text messaging.
The Container Store sells organizing solutions, custom spaces and in-home services in the US, and is the only national retailer solely devoted to the category.
