Happy Hariyali Teej 2023 Wishes Images, Quotes, Messages, Status: Teej is a Hindu festival predominantly celebrated by women, symbolizing the onset of the monsoon season in India. On this day, married women participate in prayers to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, seeking their divine blessings. They have a day-long fast for their husband’s long life. According to traditional beliefs, unmarried girls also fast in the hopes of finding their desired life partner.
This year, Hariyali Teej will be celebrated on Saturday, August 19.  According to Drik Panchang, the Tritiya tithi begins at 08:01 PM on Aug 18 and ends at 10:19 PM on Aug 19.
Sindhara is a traditional practice where the parents of a married girl send a bucket filled with gifts to their daughter and her in-laws. This bucket, known as Sindhara, typically includes homemade sweets, Ghewar (a popular Rajasthani sweet), Henna, bangles, and other items. This custom of presenting Sindhara to the daughter and her in-laws during Teej has led to Hariyali Teej being referred to as Sindhara Teej.
