‘Would you be able to get a Glock 40′: Text messages released from suspect in case of UCCS double homicide – KKTV

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -On Thursday in court, authorities with CSPD revealed text message conversations between Nicholas Jordan and an unknown number in which he requests a handgun.
Nicholas Jordan is on trial and is accused of shooting Samuel Knopp and Celie Montgomery inside of a UCCS dorm in February last year.
The texts were dated January 18, 2024, which is a few days after multiple witnesses alleged Jordan made threats saying he would kill Knopp after an argument about cleaning their dorm. A Data Analyst with CSPD read the texts out loud.
Data Analyst Kasey Constantino said,“ This message reads ‘Would you be able to get a Glock 40 or a pistol?’ And then the message following that is sent approximately seven hours later at 11:40 pm on the 18th stating, ‘Video chat with me while I smoke for just a few minutes.‘”
Emails were also shared that were sent to UCCS about housing concerns.
According to Constantino, the email from Samuel Knopp says, “Hello, this is Sam Knopp in Crestone room 108A. I would unfortunately, like to make a report about my roommate, Nicholas Jordan, living in Crestone room 108C. I have asked him so many times nicely to stop or at least slow it down, but he smokes cigarettes, cigars, and weed in his room all the time and does nothing to cover up the smell. It gets over all the way over to my side. His room is ruined for sure, I bet. He also has a girl living with him and his room that doesn’t go here, and she also smokes in his room. All the time. And they have also went into my room for stuff while I’m not there.”
In an email from Jordan, it also says, “I have a bad roommate problem. This guy seems to want to have an altercation with me for no reason, and I felt his weird hostility. Apparently for nothing. I request to move out of Crestone, 108C.”
Trial has concluded for the week and continues on Monday.
