Mahad Farrah, 26, is charged in the deaths of 22-year-old Jade Racette Beaulieu and her grandmother, Huguette Maranda Racette.
Jade Racette Beaulieu tried to figure out who was attempting to lure her outside her apartment in the Sud-Ouest borough in the wee small hours of the morning just before she was killed.
“You want me to go outside, show me who you are,” the 22-year-old woman wrote in a text message sometime after 2:27 a.m. on Dec. 15, 2022, minutes before she and her grandmother were shot to death.
On Wednesday, a series of text messages were shown to the jury hearing the murder trial of Mahad Farrah, 26. He is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Racette Beaulieu and second-degree murder in the death of her grandmother, Huguette Maranda Racette.
One car appears to have been targeted, but two others were also damaged.
Kevon John McAnuff, 21, has already been charged with two sexual assaults.
No arrests have been made in connection with the killing.
While Marcel Blanchette's release "would not pose an unacceptable risk to society," the parole board says, his release plan fails to keep the level of risk acceptable.
