UHK warns patients of scam text messages relating to medical cards – Radio Kerry

University Hospital Kerry is warning patients of scam text messages.
The hospital says it has received reports of fraudulent text messages claiming to be from the HSE.
These messages relate to medical cards and ask people to make a payment or renew their card by October 1st.
UHK says these messages are scams and the hospital or HSE will never ask you by text message to make a payment or provide your bank details.
They are urging anyone that gets a suspicious message and wants to check if it’s a scam, to contact HSELive on 1800 700 700.
