The Spanish government has postponed the enforcement of new rules requiring operators to block SMS messages sent using unregistered sender aliases to 15 September, citing the "extraordinary complexity" of implementing the system. The measure, aimed at curbing fraud and identity theft via messaging, had originally been due to take effect on 07 June.
