SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, California (KOLO) – The South Lake Tahoe Police Department is launching pre-arrival text messaging for emergency dispatch services.
Starting next week, callers who dial dispatch will receive text messages when reporting certain crimes or concerns. Those messages will provide callers with information to assist with their call, the city said Tuesday.
The texts will arrive with a 530 area code and will not accept incoming messages.
