Ryan Leslie has been off the grid for quite some time now. Though, fortunately for fans, he’s announced an upcoming album and release concert — that is, if you’d like to hop on a flight to Germany.
“I figured we play the album before we drop it. So, we’re gonna play it live,” Leslie revealed, during a recent episode of Sway’s Universe.
“I’ve had a big following for the longest time in Germany and so we’re doing an open-air festival-type conference — concert actually. It’s going to be about 3,000 folks but people are really flying in from all over the world,” continued the Grammy-nominated musician and producer.
“It’s going to be great. It’s been a minute,” concluded Leslie, who took a step back from music to launch a business in the tech space, SuperPhone, which aids to help creatives and businesses increase engagement, drive revenue, and build better relationships with SMS / MMS marketing.

The “Addicted” crooner first announced his long-awaited comeback in October of last year. “We’re proud & happy to present the 1st ever @ryanleslie OPEN AIR & ALBUM RELEASE concert in history,” he wrote alongside a flyer for the event, via Instagram.
“For this special occasion, we have selected the beautiful @tanzbrunnenkoeln, Germany. It’s been 4 Years, since @ryanleslie performed with his Band live in #Cologne, so get ready for a legendary experience,” the caption reads.

In a separate Instagram post, Leslie shared a brief video clip of himself putting in work in the studio, presumably on a track from his forthcoming album while prompting fans to visit mynewalbum.com, where they can enter their phone number to be sent a text message, for more details.
In 2008, Leslie stormed onto the music scene with his breezy, lovestruck self-titled debut album, which spawned singles such as the classic “Diamond Girl” and “How It Was Supposed To Be.”
His follow-up, 2009’s Transition, went on to be nominated for Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards. However, the award ultimately went to Usher‘s Raymond vs. Raymond.
