Millie Bobby Brown opened up about her relationship with her fiancé Jake Bongiovi and shared details about their proposal ahead of the young couple’s nuptials.
The 19-year-old Stranger Things actress shocked fans when she announced she was planning to tie the knot with the 21-year-old son of the rockstar Jon Bon Jovi last April.
Meeting one another on Instagram, the famous stars began exploring a romantic connection in 2021 and were engaged two years later.
Sharing intimate details about the beginning of their spark, the celebrated actress explained why she instantly felt he was ‘the one’ and offered more insight into how he chose the perfect ring to pop the question with.
She revealed: ‘I was interested in him and wanted to know more. As soon as we spoke I knew he was going to be a huge part of my life.’
The star continued telling The Sunday Times: ‘I ran to my mum and said, “I really, really like him!” After we met we knew we never wanted to leave each other’s side.’
Millie went on to admit the son of the Livin’ on a Prayer singer approached her mum for help with ring shopping – following which she handed him one of her own to propose to her daughter with.
She said: ‘I’ve always loved that ring, it’s always stuck out to me, so she gave it to Jake. They were in cahoots about the whole proposal. I love that I can always keep a piece of my mum with me.’

Addressing their youth, the A-lister explained that her own parents were ‘role models for relationships’ as they also committed to each other at a young age and have remained a couple ever since.
Millie revealed she was welcomed with ‘open arms’ when she visited her soon-to-be husband’s family – dad Jon, mum Dorothea Hurley and his three siblings Stephanie Rose, Jesse James Louis and Romeo Jon.
As for the nuptials, the star shared that a date was yet to be set and that she wasn’t too fussed over her dress despite the influx of intense from designers near and far.
Claiming to be ‘weighing up options’, she also confirmed she was pondering the idea of changing her famous last name but ruled out double-barrelling.
‘We are having those conversations [though] and they are important to me,’ she concluded.
