Clay County will end text message weather alerts at end of November – KCTV 5

CLAY COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) – If you have relied on text messages for weather alerts from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, consider an alternative for the upcoming winter weather season.
The sheriff’s office stated that its service will end on Dec. 1 due to an increased cost.
If you'd signed up to receive text message weather alerts from us, we’re sorry to say that service will end on the last day of Nov. The company we use for this service is changing its business model, and with the current usage, we couldn't justify the increased cost. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/l32vb0iWkz
