Use this simple shortcut to set up automatic texts for your iPhone to send to different people at different days and times.
Have you ever wanted to learn how to send automatic texts on your iPhone? You can easily do this by creating a shortcut. And with multiple shortcuts, you can automatically send text messages to as many contacts as you like.
This could be a great way to reach out to people or ask how their day or week was. It can also be a great marketing tool if you own a business and are looking for more customers. Either way, this shortcut is super helpful, and we'll show you how to use it below.
Sending an automated text message is different from setting up automatic replies on your iPhone. To get started, open the built-in Shortcuts app on your iPhone.
Now, select Automation from the bottom menu and tap Create Personal Automation. This will begin the process of making a new Shortcuts automation on your iPhone.
Once the menu opens, you can select the time of day you want this automation to occur. So, that means you need to set the time and day you want your iPhone to automatically send the text you're setting up—you can choose to repeat daily, weekly, or monthly.
For this example, we'll set it at sunrise every day. Once you have your settings in, tap Next to continue.
Once you've set the time, tap Add Action and select Send Message. You may also see Send Message under Next Action Suggestions, as it's a common shortcut.
Then, you can set your message and choose the contact you want to send the message to. You can select any individuals or groups that you have in your contacts. This is great for people who use their iPhones for work, as you can use groups to separate who is a personal and business contact.
This is also helpful for good morning and good night messages or weekly update text messages.
Once this is set, your automation is complete, and your phone will automatically send a message at the time and day you selected. In a similar fashion, you can also schedule automated messages on WhatsApp.
There are so many possibilities when it comes to using shortcuts on your iPhone. If you're on a busy schedule or you tend to forget things, you can use this iPhone shortcut to send automated text messages.
This shortcut is handy for both your personal and work life, and you can make multiple shortcuts if needed. Thanks to this iPhone automation, staying in touch when you're busy has never been easier.
