AIS customers can report suspicious messages by following a straightforward four-step process.
1. Users are instructed to capture a screenshot of the scam message
2. Open their messaging application to start a new thread addressed to the number 1185.
3. Once the recipient is set, the user simply imports the captured screenshot and hits send.
4. The AIS system then processes the data and provides an update on the investigation’s outcome within 24 hours.
The service is strictly reserved for AIS network subscribers. It operates 24 hours a day and incurs no additional fees, ensuring that customers have a permanent and accessible line of defense against mobile fraud. (continues below)

Upon receiving a report, AIS takes immediate action by blocking the offending SMS source to prevent further messages from being sent. Additionally, any malicious URLs embedded within the messages are blacklisted to protect users from phishing attempts.
The telco further coordinates with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and other network providers. This collaboration is designed to permanently shut down the “Sender Names” used by scammers across the industry.
This move comes as part of a broader effort by Thai authorities and private enterprises to combat the rising tide of digital fraud and SMS-based scams targeting mobile users nationwide.
Detailed instructions and further information regarding the “1185 Snap and Share” service are available on the official AIS website.
