ADOT combats scam text messages with new web resource – KTAR News 92.3 FM

PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Transportation is not only warning customers about scam text messages, they are providing resources to help.
ADOT announced the launch of a new website to help spot red flags that could signal scam text messages that try to extort fraudulent payments for unpaid tickets that don’t exist.
They have also released a podcast episode that outlines the scam that has become more common recently.
Among the main tips, ADOT reminds people of the following tips:
If you are worried you have outstanding payments with the Motor Vehicle Division, you can check your account at on their website or by visiting a local MVD office.
