There’s a secret language online. Internet slang or SMS (short message service) language are common text abbreviations and acronyms used in everyday conversations.
Using letters rather than spelling out words not only saves time but it’s the way many of us communicate personally and professionally.
Some of the most common text abbreviations are LOL – laugh out loud; IDK – I don’t know; IDC – I don’t care; IMO – in my opinion; BTW – by the way; ICYMI – in case you missed it and G2G – got to go.

Unscrambler.com, an online tool that unscrambles scrambled words, did an analysis of Google search data to reveal the most searched for text abbreviations in Michigan and America. Google Trends was used to discover the top trending text abbreviations and Ahrefs to find the number of searches.
There are lots of websites that can help decipher the meaning of letters encrypted in a message. Some are geared just for parents. Other sites will even tell you how to use them. TBH, ATP I don’t think I’ll ever remember all those acronyms. ICL.
