SingTel today announced that it will celebrate the Lunar New Year holidays with 48 hours of free local mobile calls, SMS and MMS. The offer will start from 12.00am on 23 January to 11.59pm on 24 January. The free calls, SMS and MMS can be enjoyed by postpaid mobile customers and will not be deducted from the free bundled minutes and SMS included in their current service plans.
Typically speaking, the Lunar New Year has always been one of the busiest period for the network, with flood of well-wishing messages sent out during the festive period. While customers won't have to worry about bursting their SMS limit or call times with this offer, getting a smooth connection is another matter altogether.
Otherwise, you can just stay home, and be a couch potato with the free programs over the Lunar New Year. During this period, customers can also purchase mio TVÂ blockbuster movies for S$1. On top of that, SingTel will also offer 88 hours of free Chinese entertainment from the mio TV Jingxuan Pack from 8.00am on 21 January to 11.59pm on 24 January.
