4 signs that the SIM has been locked since June 15 – Laodong.vn

From June 15, users can recognize that the SIM has been temporarily suspended from service through some simple signs.
From June 15, subscribers who have not carried out confirmation according to regulations may have their departure service temporarily suspended. However, not everyone immediately realizes this situation, especially those who call less or mainly contact via messaging applications.
The phone still has signal but cannot be called.
This is the most common sign of a one-way locked subscriber. Users still see the signal column displayed normally on the phone. The SIM is still recognized, and they can still use the device as usual, so many people think that the subscriber is not having any problems.
However, when making a call to another phone number, the call cannot be connected or the system issues a notification that the subscriber’s service is being restricted. In many cases, users only detect this situation when they need to contact work or call relatives.
Cannot send SMS messages
Along with calls, the incoming SMS messaging service is also suspended. If trying to send a message to another phone number but failing or continuously receiving error messages, users should check their subscriber status again.
This sign is often more difficult to recognize because currently most users have switched to using applications such as Zalo, Messenger or Telegram instead of traditional SMS.
Still receiving incoming calls and messages
The most confusing point is that a one-way locked subscriber can still receive calls and SMS messages from others. Users can still receive calls from relatives, partners or customers. Notification messages from banks, state agencies or businesses can also be sent to the subscriber.
Precisely because they still receive calls and messages normally, many people do not realize that the SIM has been restricted from service until they need to actively contact outside.
Received notification from the carrier earlier
Before applying handling measures, telecommunications businesses often send many notices to subscribers who need confirmation or information updates. However, many people ignore them because they think these are advertising messages or regular notices.
If you suddenly cannot make a call or text, users should check the recent messages from the network operator. This may be a sign that the subscriber has been in the processing area before.
When is the sign that the subscriber has been two-way locked?
If the subscriber not only cannot make a call but also cannot receive an incoming call, cannot send SMS and cannot receive SMS messages, it is very likely that the SIM has been two-way locked.
Compared to one-way locking, the level of impact at this stage is significantly greater because users almost completely lose the ability to contact via the phone number they are using.
According to current regulations, two-way locking does not take place immediately. For subscribers who have been temporarily suspended from the one-way service due to not completing confirmation according to regulations, the network operator will continue to maintain this status for 60 days. If after the above time, the user has not yet completed confirmation or verification as requested, the subscriber may be temporarily suspended from the two-way service.
After being two-way locked, users still have some time to complete the necessary procedures. If they continue not to complete authentication according to regulations, the subscriber number may have its service provision contract terminated and revoked.
Therefore, users should not wait until the subscriber is locked in both directions to handle it. Checking and updating information right from the limited direction phase will help avoid arising procedures and limit the risk of losing the phone number they are using.
What should be done when a SIM card is locked?
When detecting the above signs, users should check their subscriber status on VNeID, review notifications from network operators and complete confirmation requests or update information if any.
In case they cannot handle it themselves, users should contact the switchboard or go to the transaction point of the telecommunications company for support.
