The Ministry of Health’s Shared Services (SPMS) has warned about the circulation of fraudulent SMS messages in the name of Linha SNS 24 asking to make a payment via ATM.

“We are warning that fake SMS messages are circulating in the name of SNS 24. These messages indicate that you have outstanding debts and include a reference to a cash machine to make the payment within five days,” the SPMS warns in a statement.
According to the entity, this is a fake message scam known as ‘smishing’, in which the name of SNS 24 is used to “induce recipients to make undue payments”.
SPMS recommends that if someone receives a fake SMS, “do not make any payment, do not respond and delete the message”.
Asking for caution, the SPMS indicates that “evaluations are already being made with the competent entities”.
The SPMS reminds that the services of the SNS 24 Line (808 24 24 24) “are free for citizens”.
