Petrolina informs the public that messages are being sent to mobile phones that misleadingly appear to originate from the petroleum operations company.
Accordingly, it informs the public that these messages do not originate from Petrolina, emphasising that if they receive any suspicious message, they should delete it immediately and avoid taking any action.
The public is also urged not to open suspicious links and avoid disclosing any personal or banking information.
Petrolina does not request personal data via SMS or via unknown electronic links, has already taken the necessary actions and confirms there has been no breach of personal data.
For their own safety, Petrolina urges members of the public to get relevant information solely from the official Petrolina website, MyPetrolina application or Petrolina’s verified social media accounts.
Anyone who has clicked on such scam links and/or provided their banking details should let their Βank know immediately, and contact the Police and Office for Combating Cybercrime by calling: 22808200, or filling out the online complaint form.
