LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Michigan State Police are warning the public about scam text messages circulating.
The messages claim recipients owe parking fines and threaten enforcement action if payment is not made. The texts include a link directing users to pay the alleged fine.
Police advise the public not to click the link or share personal or financial information. Officials say any fines should be verified through official government sources.
