Mobile communications firm SMS Speedway is being hailed as a game-changer in the letting industry.
The company has been identified as one of 15 companies that are “changing the shape of the lettings industry”.
The Carlisle-based specialist will present its pioneering tools for letting agents at the industry event, ‘Growing a Successful Lettings Agency,’ on October 27 in Birmingham organised.
The event has been organised by the Innovation Collaboration Group (ICG).
Bradley Kieser, chief executive of SMS Speedway, said: “This is a great platform for us. It’s an opportunity to showcase the powerful tools we have developed specifically for residential lettings agents.
“Tools that can help these businesses operate more effectively and efficiently, whether it be targeted marketing or managing rent arrears.”
SMS Speedway’s products include MarketMe, which enables letting agents to send images, videos, statistics and other marketing information directly to clients’ mobile handsets.
The company has developed software which automatically sends reminders to tenants when rent is due, warnings if they fall behind, and a thank you when they pay.
Landlords will also be informed when the rent is paid or if a tenant is in arrears.
Bradley said: “We are acutely aware of the challenges that lettings agents face, particularly around mounting rent arrears in a cost-of-living crisis.
“Our systems automate time-consuming processes, allowing agents to redeploy staff to more productive, revenue-generating activities. At the same time, they provide a better service to tenants and, crucially, landlords.”
The Birmingham event is expected to draw letting agents from across the UK.
Key topics on the event agenda include the Government’s Renters Reform Bill, achieving compliance, and managing contractors among others.
With over 20 years of experience in the property sector, SMS Speedway continues to assist letting and estate agents in growing their businesses.
They work towards a more efficient industry and offer a chance for letting agents to harness the power of digital solutions.
