Derek Chisora is seeing promising signs after revealing he is regularly in contact with Anthony Joshua ahead of his fight with Tyson Fury.
The two heavyweight hard-hitters will finally settle their 10-year rivalry once and for all on December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Joshua will be working with trainer Ben Davison once again – two years after they split following 'AJ's' crushing knockout loss to Daniel Dubois.
Davison famously cornered Fury for five fights and was instrumental in helping the 'Gypsy King' out of his drink-and-drug fuelled depression and back to the ring. Joshua's decision to reunite with Davison has sent shockwaves around the world of boxing, but it is evident he is leaving no stone unturned.
And Joshua's close friend Chisora has recently given fans an insight into how 'AJ's' training is going after revealing that the pair have been holding regular chats over the phone. During an interview with talkSPORT, he said: "I speak to him every Friday after his week of training camp.

"I send him a message asking him how it was, and he said 'yeah I'm killing it'. So that is all I need to know, he's killing it. Whatever happens it is going to be an exciting fight on December 11."
Given how Chisora has faced Fury three times, the British heavyweight veteran may opt to pass on some crucial tips to his good friend ahead of fight night. Joshua will need all the help he can get – with Fury set to enter fight night as a big favourite.
With both men in the twilight stages of their careers, Chisora has urged his good friend to end the fight earlier, otherwise it could be a long night for him. "I am so excited about it. We are not getting it too late, it is at at the right time," he continued.
"Both fighters have something to prove still in the ring. AJ has to knock him out in the first six rounds. After that it is a long night, but AJ has the power to knock out Tyson any round. But has Tyson got that same power? No. However, what Tyson will do is make the fight at a higher pace. He has the endurance to sustain it for 12 rounds, and throw a higher volume of punches. So it will be interesting and I'm very excited, especially if Dana White is involved and at the top table."
