Business.com aims to help business owners make informed decisions to support and grow their companies. We research and recommend products and services suitable for various business types, investing thousands of hours each year in this process.
As a business, we need to generate revenue to sustain our content. We have financial relationships with some companies we cover, earning commissions when readers purchase from our partners or share information about their needs. These relationships do not dictate our advice and recommendations. Our editorial team independently evaluates and recommends products and services based on their research and expertise. Small businesses today need innovative, hassle-free ways to reach their customers. EZ Texting is a well-executed, feature-packed platform that offers companies all the benefits of text message marketing with a highly intuitive user interface. New users with little marketing experience or technical expertise can get up to speed quickly. We further appreciate that the solution expands its functionality with direct integrations for HubSpot, Constant Contact, Mailchimp and Squarespace, along with thousands of additional app connections through Zapier. The vendor says more than 230,000 businesses have used the platform, and it has kept pace with the category by adding AI-powered messaging tools, RCS functionality and a drag-and-drop Workflows automation builder. All of this and more is why EZ Texting is our choice for the best text message marketing service for businesses prioritizing ease of use.
8.7 / 10
As its name implies, EZ Texting is easy to use for text message marketing from the get-go. Its developers designed the platform and its interface for users without prior knowledge of text-based marketing tools. We love how numerous prompts guide users through all features and functions. Based on our firsthand testing, EZ Texting is one of the most user-friendly text messaging platforms we reviewed. However, this high ease of use doesn’t mean the vendor skimps on valuable tools. This fully featured system is comparable to other leading text message marketing platforms in functionality.
The EZ Texting website offers plenty of helpful information for users who need additional guidance. We were also impressed by the amount of industry-specific advice available for businesses looking for ideas on how to use text marketing effectively.
Ease of use is especially important when it comes to automation. According to Klaviyo’s 2026 SMS marketing benchmarks, based on data from more than 183,000 customers, automated SMS flows account for just 7.6 percent of sends but generate 45.2 percent of SMS revenue. For small businesses, that’s a good reason to choose a platform that makes automated campaigns easy to set up and manage.
EZ Texting positions itself well to capitalize on that with its user-friendly approach — and, as we detail below, with a visual Workflows builder that combines drag-and-drop automation with prebuilt templates, putting triggered messaging within reach of businesses without a marketing operations team.
We found the EZ Texting dashboard exceptionally easy to understand and navigate. The company has adopted a clean and minimalist design for its software that works very well, and we could tell that much thought went into the platform’s user experience. During testing, we could navigate to most functions with a few clicks, and we appreciated how related tasks and features were bundled logically for easy navigation. We also consulted the learning center less frequently than we did with other programs we tried — a testament to EZ Texting’s high ease of use.
Users switching from other text messaging providers shouldn’t have many issues. Uploading contacts to EZ Texting is a breeze via a custom comma-separated values (Excel-type) template. You can also sync contacts from apps such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact or HubSpot. To ensure the smoothest transition, we recommend setting up custom fields in EZ Texting so your contact database matches the databases you’re importing from. A smart contact cleaner tool also flags duplicate and incorrect entries during import, which spared us the tedious list hygiene work that soured our experience with some rival platforms.
EZ Texting’s online learning center is impressive. It includes short videos that walk users through the platform’s features, along with a thorough and helpful “Getting Started” section. We particularly like EZ Texting’s assortment of help sections with industry-specific text marketing advice for businesses ranging from bars and nightclubs to wedding service providers.
EZ Texting offers direct integrations with HubSpot, Constant Contact, Mailchimp, Squarespace and Shutterstock. You can also connect EZ Texting to more than 7,000 additional apps through Zapier. A representational state transfer application programming interface (REST API) with thorough documentation can help business owners develop their own integrations.
One capability we didn’t expect at this price point is multilingual texting. EZ Texting can translate messages into six languages using built-in AI, which is a genuine advantage for businesses serving mixed-language customer bases. Most of the entry-level platforms we tested leave translation entirely to the user.
EZ Texting offers a comprehensive set of features that can help businesses boost their market reach and increase sales via text messaging. Below are the user-friendly tools and functions that stood out to us during our hands-on testing.
As with other texting platforms, EZ Texting allows you to assign customer conversations to specific team members. One standout feature we appreciated was the Team Inbox, which gives team members a centralized place to manage ongoing SMS conversations. Managers can assign, sort and filter messages, making it easier to collaborate on customer inquiries without losing track of conversations and helping to improve the customer experience.
Rather than siloing conversations with specific team members, the Team Inbox gives representatives and managers visibility into customer conversations. EZ Texting has also added AI Reply, which uses information from your website, knowledge base or other connected content to draft contextual responses to incoming messages. (We’ll look more closely at its AI capabilities below.)
The Teammate Manager lets administrators create individual logins and manage roles and permissions. One Team Inbox seat is included with each plan, while additional teammates cost $10 per user per month. EZ Texting doesn’t limit the number of Team Inbox seats an account can have.
EZ Texting makes it easy to use keywords to build contact lists and send promotions, alerts and more. For example, if you offer five different products, you can choose a keyword for each and ask customers to text you the keyword or keywords they’re most interested in when they subscribe. EZ Texting automatically organizes subscribers based on the keywords they use, making this a simple way to segment contacts by their interests. Keywords are unlimited on all plans.
We found it simple to add new keywords to our account and set an automated reply when someone joined our subscriber list. A click-to-text generator complements this, producing links that open a pre-filled message on a customer’s phone — useful for turning website and email traffic into subscribers.
Drip campaigns — where you send a sequence of messages to subscribers over time — are highly effective because they keep your business and offers top of mind without overwhelming customers. We found creating SMS drip campaigns via EZ Texting to be straightforward. You can build a sequence of messages and choose how long after a contact joins a group each message should go out, making it easy to create welcome series, follow-ups and other automated campaigns.
You can add trackable links to these campaigns to monitor which subscribers visit your website after receiving a message. EZ Texting also supports scheduled and recurring campaigns, giving businesses several ways to plan messages in advance. A visual campaign calendar shows everything you have scheduled in one view, which we found helpful for spotting the accidental double-send that irritates subscribers.
EZ Texting’s Workflows feature adds more advanced workflow automation than you get with standard drip campaigns. Instead of simply sending messages on a predetermined schedule, you can build automated message sequences around triggers, time delays, responses and conditional logic. The drag-and-drop editor doesn’t require coding, and we like that you can see each step of the sequence as you build it.
EZ Texting also provides prebuilt templates for common small business needs, including welcome messages, appointment reminders, after-hours replies, event promotions, birthday messages and customer onboarding. You can customize these templates or build a workflow from scratch. The platform also includes AI message suggestions and real-time reporting to help you create messages and see how your workflows are performing.
For e-commerce businesses, one of the more interesting additions is a native Shopify abandoned shopping cart workflow. It can automatically send opted-in shoppers a personalized text with a link back to their cart. We especially like that this gives Shopify users a built-in automation option without having to route the process through Zapier.
EZ Texting’s easy-to-use bulk texting tools let you reach a large audience quickly. We like that you can select the subscriber group or groups you want to target and personalize text messages with contact fields like first name and last name for greater engagement.
Messages can be sent immediately or scheduled for later. We were impressed that EZ Texting even lets you turn a bulk message into a recurring one — something not all rival platforms allow. Combined with contact segmentation, this makes it easy to send different messages to specific groups instead of blasting every contact with the same text.
We like that EZ Texting lets you connect your existing landline or business number to send and receive text messages. When a customer messages your text-enabled number, the message will appear in your EZ Texting inbox. Not every text messaging service we reviewed offered this capability. If you’d rather present a national presence, toll-free texting numbers are also available, and incoming voice calls to your texting number can be forwarded to a phone of your choosing.
Many texting platforms we reviewed had serviceable inbox functions, but EZ Texting’s two-way conversation tools stand out. Customers can reply directly to your messages, and their responses appear in the EZ Texting inbox, where you can continue the conversation one-on-one. We like that replies to marketing campaigns come into the same inbox, making it easier to respond quickly to questions or potential sales leads.
Two-way texting isn’t limited to marketing, either. Businesses can use it for customer service, appointment reminders and even employee scheduling and dispatch. For example, employees can reply to a shift request by text rather than having to use a separate scheduling app.
Incoming messages are free. Outgoing messages count against your plan’s credits, typically at one credit for an SMS message and three credits for an MMS message.
EZ Texting has two AI tools that can cut down on the time it takes to write both outbound messages and customer replies. We like that the tools serve different purposes rather than trying to handle every type of message in the same way. Here’s an overview:
We especially like that both tools are designed to speed up message writing without taking control away from the user. For small teams managing a busy texting program, that could save a meaningful amount of time.
MMS messaging is built into EZ Texting, giving businesses a way to add images, GIFs, audio and video to their text campaigns. MMS messages can also include up to 1,600 characters, which gives you considerably more room to work with than a standard SMS message.
We especially like the creative tools EZ Texting includes. Here’s what stood out to us:
EZ Texting supports JPG, GIF, PNG, WAV, MP3, 3GP and MP4 files. We think these tools make MMS particularly useful for businesses that want to send more visual promotions without having to create all of their campaign assets elsewhere.
EZ Texting is also preparing businesses for Rich Communication Services (RCS), which adds more interactive features to traditional business texting. (You’ll need to check with the company to see if your business is eligible.) Instead of receiving a message from an unfamiliar number, customers can see your business name, logo and other branding within the conversation. RCS also supports richer media and interactive elements, such as product carousels, suggested replies and buttons customers can tap to take an action.
We can see this being particularly useful for businesses that want customers to do more without leaving the conversation. For example, you could let customers browse products, get directions, schedule an appointment or respond to a survey directly from a message. RCS also supports larger, higher-quality images and videos than MMS, along with delivery and read receipts that can provide more insight into how customers interact with your messages.
RCS isn’t a replacement for SMS and MMS, however. Whether a recipient can receive an RCS message depends on their device, operating system and carrier. If RCS isn’t supported, the message can fall back to SMS or MMS instead.
EZ Texting’s Text-to-Pay feature lets businesses accept SMS payments by creating payment links and sending them directly to customers by text. The links open a secure checkout powered by Stripe, so customers can pay from their phones without sharing payment information in the message thread. Businesses can create links for individual products or services and send them in one-to-one messages or larger campaigns.
EZ Texting offers a similar Text-to-Give feature for nonprofits, churches and other organizations collecting donations. You can create separate donation links for individual campaigns, events or fundraisers, making it easier to track different fundraising efforts. Supporters receive the link by text and complete their donation through the Stripe-powered checkout.
EZ Texting gives you a useful set of reporting tools for tracking how your campaigns perform. The reporting dashboard brings key metrics together in one place, including:
You can also look at engagement trends over time to see when recipients are most active and how individual campaigns or keywords are performing. Reports can be exported in CSV or Excel format for further analysis or sharing with your team.
EZ Texting has four service plans. Instead of charging per text, the company uses a credit system. A standard SMS message typically uses one credit, while an MMS message typically uses three credits. Each plan includes a set number of credits, and you can purchase more if you exceed your allotment.
All plans include a nice array of features, including:

There are a few other pricing details to keep in mind:
We appreciate that EZ Texting offers a 14-day free trial, giving businesses a chance to try the software before committing.
Getting started with EZ Texting is straightforward. The platform offers a 14-day free trial and self-service checkout, so you don’t have to speak with a salesperson before you can start using the software. Because EZ Texting is web-based, there’s nothing to download or install.
We especially like how quickly smaller businesses can get started. EZ Texting lists a setup time of one business day for its Launch, Boost and Scale plans. Enterprise implementation takes considerably longer, with a published setup time of four to 12 weeks. Enterprise includes a dedicated short code, which requires additional provisioning, so businesses planning a major promotion or seasonal campaign should leave plenty of time for setup.
EZ Texting also offers support seven days a week if you need help getting started. Connecting integrations and importing or organizing a large contact database may add to your setup time, but the core implementation process is refreshingly light for businesses on the three standard plans.
SMS marketing comes with consent, opt-out and carrier requirements, so compliance is part of setting up any business texting platform. We like that EZ Texting builds several safeguards into the software instead of leaving businesses to manage everything themselves.
Here are some of the ways EZ Texting helps:
Note that federal texting rules changed in 2025 when the Eleventh Circuit struck down the FCC’s planned one-to-one consent requirement. The rule would have required consumers to consent separately to marketing texts from each seller. That requirement is no longer moving forward, but businesses still need appropriate consent before sending marketing texts.
EZ Texting offers live chat support seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET on weekends. You can also submit a help ticket, and EZ Texting says most are addressed within 30 minutes. During our testing, we tried the web chat several times and received quick replies, although you may have to go through a chatbot before reaching a live agent.
The help center is available 24/7 and includes step-by-step guides, video tutorials and troubleshooting resources, so there’s plenty of help available outside of live support hours. However, EZ Texting doesn’t advertise phone support as a standard support option. We would have liked to see that choice, particularly for businesses that prefer talking through more complicated problems with a support representative.
EZ Texting has a lot to offer, but we found a few drawbacks worth considering:
To determine the best text message marketing services for various use cases, we compiled a list of popular platforms based on extensive online research. We carefully examined each service’s online reputation, narrowed our list to finalists and spent several weeks researching each platform by reviewing its features, watching product demos and tutorials, testing the software whenever possible and analyzing user feedback. We also evaluated each service’s pricing structure, customer support, integrations, automation capabilities and compliance tools. When assessing text message marketing services for ease of use, we paid particular attention to the signup and implementation process, interface and navigation, campaign creation tools, onboarding resources and availability of customer support.
