ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Police in Allentown are warning people about fraudulent text messages claiming to be from PennDOT regarding suspended licenses, unpaid tickets, or “final notices.”
In a news release, the Allentown Police Department said the messages are scams designed to steal your information.
Do not click links or provide personal/payment information, city police say.
If you get one of these texts, city police say you should delete the message, report it as spam, and verify information only through official government websites.
