Police Warns of Fraudulent SMS Messages Targeting Citizens’ Personal and Financial Data – Albanian Daily News

The Albanian State Police, through its Directorate for the Investigation of Cyber Crimes, has issued a public warning about a surge in fraudulent SMS messages circulating among citizens, posing as delivery notifications from postal services.
According to authorities, these deceptive messages include suspicious links and urge recipients to take immediate action. Officials stress that the primary goal of such messages is to steal sensitive information, including personal data, banking details, and to gain unauthorized access to financial accounts.
The Cyber Crimes Directorate emphasized that these messages are part of ongoing scam attempts and called on the public to remain highly vigilant.
Citizens are strongly advised not to click on links sent from unknown numbers, avoid sharing personal or financial information, and refrain from following instructions that demand urgent action without proper verification.
