Telenor’s Finnish arm, DNA, said it blocked more than 8.5 million fraud attempts in 2025, made up for 4.2 million scam calls and almost 4.4 million fraudulent SMS. Ilkka Tuominen, head of fraud prevention at DNA, warned customers to be particularly vigilant of swindle attempts that use seasonal topics such as the tax refund period, sales promotions or events such as St Valentine’s Day as the basis for their messages or calls.
